What does it cost?

Checking a code is free and needs no account, right here in the browser. The app is free too: on Google Play for Android, coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.

Do I need the app?

Not to check. Only the person taking the photo or video needs the app.

Does it work with videos?

Yes, with videos up to 20 seconds. For flats and dates they often show more than a photo.

Why can't I use a gallery photo?

Otherwise any old or copied picture could get a check code. Only captures taken right in the app are truly current.

Does the code show who took the photo?

No. It shows that the capture is real and when and roughly where it was taken. So check that it matches the listing or the profile.

How long does a check code work?

24 hours. After that the photo or video is deleted and the code stops working, so check it as soon as you get it. The place is stored only roughly, to about 10 km.
